Negotiate with seller who has a RE Agent

Hey everyone, here’s my predicament: I was negotiating with a seller a few months ago and we couldn’t agree on price. Shortly after he decided to list the house with an agent and it has been sitting for about two months and the price just dropped significantly. Can I go back in with my offer and call the seller directly? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

@Ken Nyczaj, seller has a contract with the agent. With rare exceptions, if seller finds a buyer while under a contract, agent still gets his 6%. What you can do, it to tell seller, listen, if this property doesn't sell, once your contract expire you can save 6% and call me directly ... You may entice the seller to take a property off the market and deal directly with you ....
