Trying to sway a skeptic...

Brian Ripperda
Posted
So I’ve finally been able to convince my wife that this is the way to secure our and our children’s future. Now my issue is I’d like to bring my father in on this but he is farmland Illinois super conservative type. Honestly my father is very well off as is and I know I have quite the inheritance but obviously I don’t look forward to that day. Now my dad and I have spoken before about the accounts and he says he will never touch those for anything. I feel if I prove that this works and can put the math in his face he may be convinced otherwise. Anyone had experience trying to bring in a skeptic, good or bad?

Brian Ripperda mixing family and real estate is often a bad idea. If he’s against it I would push the issue.

If your dad is well off doing what he’s always done why does he need to change anything?

My dad is the same way and I will probably never ask him for money. Because I don’t want to risk losing that valuable relationship
