I’m 18 and ready to start.

Hey! So I’m 18 and in 3 months I’m moving cross country. Now I’ve been reading a lot and learning about real estate investing. I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas or pointers on where to start out as a job or for income. I won’t be going to college. I want to do something that’ll make me enough money to survive on and that’ll teach me about real estate. I plan on being a real estate agent but that probably won’t happen for another 5 months or so, I’m looking for something to do before I move. I live in a small community currently, and I’m moving to Austin Texas in August. Thanks in advance!

Get into the building trades. Skilled labourers will always be in high demand and the income will allow you to invest and the opportunity in the future to start you own business if you choose.

Start an apprenticeship and work toward getting licenced. The higher skilled the trade the better. Plumbing, electrical etc. If you decide to get into house flipping your trade background will be a major advantage
