Nonprofit real estate organization

I have a nonprofit organization that is designed to grow and rebuild communities from donations and grants; and will encompass an apprenticeship program were youth will gain experience and be certified to better their future all while increasing community value and better homes for those who are in need. Any ideas on this? And am I on to something?

That is great, however I don’t really consider that investing.

Still if you are pursuing this I suggest you treat it as an investment in terms of raising funds, purchasing, and managing any properties. Being a nonprofit does not mean you are a 100% charity.
