Private Money Cold Calling Question

How do I approach someone for the first time and ask them about investing. Should I send them an email or call them first or should I just show up at their place of business.

Example: Should I just call doctors and tell them I want to come by and tell them about a business opportunity or that I would like to get their opinion on something.

Hi, If there is one thing that I am really, really good at it's cold calling and I don't mind telling anyone, LOL! A good cold call begins with confidence.

When you think you know more about the subject matter that than the person you are calling and you are able to overcome every possible objection without hesitation and answer truthfully, you're ready to cold call.

So, you want to begin by calling successful professionals and business people. Think about that. Do you know as much or more than they do about their money, their investments and can you advise them, or are you just calling them to interupt them at dinner?

DOn't cold call people for investing, you could very well get yourself into touble calling a do not call list person or worse, be accused of making public offerings by telephone (or mail) and run afoul of the SEC!

Get to know potential investors and use a much softer approach, telling them what you do, let them ask the questions and when they are ready, they will ask you if they can get in on it too! Much better approach. Good luck, Bill
