Move to Dallas to start real estate investing a good idea?

I currently drive for coca cola in Pennsylvania and make about 60k a year. Looking at transferring to Dallas next summer. Not sure how much I will make in Dallas. Think it's a good idea to move to Dallas with current job to get into real estate? Looking to buy and hold/rent

@Richard Hodges moving to another market to get started in REI is somewhat of old thinking. Especially with all of the technology that we have at our disposal these days. I live in NY 750MI away from my market in the Mid-West. I own a nice size portfolio of rentals and manage properties for 10+ investors (36 units) all from here in NY. I say all this to say, You will have to make trips to the market when team building. I did it once per quarter for about 18 months. After the team was built that was that. Now I close deals without ever having to go to the market again. But I still go once per quarter LOL!!! Truthfully I really love taking the "business" trips! This strategy is applicable to any market or anywhere in the world. All the best to you. Always remember to persist and you will WIN!!!!
