How to analyze a property. What should I be doing/looking at?
Hi!
I'm completely new to all of this, so I'll quickly offer my background and situation. I'm waiting on getting into the military and I'm looking at real estate investing for when I'm out. I'd prefer to purchase my first property ~2 years into my 4 year enlistment.
Until then I've got a lot of learning to do. I'm not sure where the best place for me to start is, but I think it would be learning how to look at a a local property and identify if it would be a good investment or not. I'd like to make a hobby out of looking at properties online and analyzing them. If this isn't a good place to start please do recommend something else.
For example, how could I judge this local property? https://goo.gl/SgZDmi
Plus, one bonus question: Would this be the kind of property I'd be looking at getting as my first while on a military salary? Or should I be looking at less expensive Duplexes. I really am just trying to get a feel for all this.
Thanks!
