I am new to this and doing my best to learn as much as possible.  I am not starting out with much money.  My question is what are the best ways for me to finance my first project?  For the experienced users how did you start?

Do you know anyone in your sphere that has money? Look for "private money lenders" (people you know) and worst case scenario is you find a hard money lender to fund the deal. There are a lot of variables that go in to financing such as; do you have the cash for the repair costs? Hard money lender's may not lend you the full amount including the costs of the rehab. They typically want you to have some skin in the game too.

Look on BP for the money, they have a section dedicated strictly to lending.

Best of luck!

(Also, my post is assuming that you don't have the funds to pay for it yourself. I funded my first deal with my own money. Then after that deal I went out and found private money)
