I am still working on starting in real estate. I recently started a full time job. I plan to save as much as I possibly can to begin slowly in real estate. I was kind of wondering how much cash you need to begin with in NY(not the city) if anyone has experience in this area. In addition if I do have enough money to start should I continue to rent a place and buy a place to rent to someone else? Or should I buy a mutli-family and live in one of the units.I mean it makes sense that I shouldn't rent as it builds no equity. I really appreciate it. Thanks.
