New Grad Investing In Chicago

Hi Everyone - I just graduated from college in May, and am in the process of moving to Chicago to start a full time job. I have been a lurker on this page, as well as other REI pages for a while, but now that I don't have the financial liability of college over my head I'm hoping to start dipping my toes into REI. With that said, what recommendations do you have for someone in my position just starting out. Thanks!
