Starting out in wholesaling and lease options in New York

Hi, I live in a very high priced area- least expensive house is at $600,000.

What real estate investing strategies will work in this high priced area?

Also in New York state it is required to use the lawyer to draw a contract, you cant put the property under contract yourself. You have to use the lawyer and the buyer have to use the lawyer. So it is hard to sign a wholesaling deal from legal point of view.

Should I go to neighboring states like PA and NJ to start wholesaling?

Looking forward to your input.

Victoria
