First time buyer needing advice in what market to buy

Hello, I have dilemma and would like some input. I recently moved down to Northern Virginia for a job and as you know the rents are extremely high here. I am originally from PA and my question is if I should buy condo down here (2bedroom), or invest back home near Indiana, PA which is a college town and the houses are a fraction of the cost. I feel like my money would go a lot further in PA than down here. I also have family in the area so I am not worried about investing "out of state" as I know the area as well. All advice is truly appreciated.

Depends on your goals and business plan. If your looking for equity then D.C. Is the place to invest, if your looking for cash flow then D.C. Is not the place to invest right now.
