New Highly Motivated Member to BP in San Diego

Hello,

I am a 23 year old active duty service member in the San Diego area and I'm here to start gathering more knowledge on the subject of REI. I currently have very little knowledge but I am in the process of attending a fortune builders event to kind of give myself a foundation. I have read a few books but it seemed to me as though it was more of just a motivational tool more than anything else. If any of you guys can provide me with any information or help it would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty much looking to master all of the disciplines of real estate investing such as wholesaling, fixing and flipping, long term holds, and rental properties so any information that would help me get the ball rolling in some direction would be very much appreciated. Welcome to BP! Which base are you currently stationed at? I think catering to military rentals in Oceanside, national city, or imperial beach might be a great niche for you to get into using your VA loan. Search military on BP and a ton of info will come up related to strategies folks in the military move around and take advantage of their VA loans! I am a civilian but I work on the bases in SD as an environmental contractor. There are tons of folks here who need flexible housing options as they deploy and return. Making some kind of multifamily with large storage units and flexibility in leases might help you provide a value to those in the service.
