Hi All,

My husband and I want to buy rental properties for our future/retirement, we currently work overseas and won't be moving back to the States until 2020.

Is it crazy to buy a property when we're not in the country?  We want to buy cash (something under $120,000) but don't know where yet - still learning...  Could anyone give us advice on buying a multifamily from overseas and how we would find a trustworthy PM?

Thank you all in advance for your time.  And sorry if I've missed any details, this is my first post.  :)

It is not crazy to invest when you are out of the United States. I know many investors who live all around the world and they have investments here to help them earn income. Many of them are living overt here for work, military, etc. This makes it a bit easier, especially if you want it to be passive. Going with a turnkey company can be great. It will make it so you do not have to worry.

I just always suggest doing your research before diving in. Make sure the company you go with are an actual turnkey company, and not just agents using the MLS.
