I am hospitalized right now and have the time to learn. Just don't know where or what to read and learn. I am a newbie but have a desire to learn. Point me in the right direction. I was even considering learning how to buy tax liens or deeds. I just don't know which avenue would be more profitable and easier to learn to start.

A good start is to read the book:

Short-Sale Pre-Foreclosure Investing: How to Buy "No-Equity" Properties Directly from the Bank

It'll teach you the basics.
