Real estate agent before investor

I plan on becoming a real estate agent/broker and learning the real estate business before jumping into real estate investing. Specifically I want to do fix and flips in about 5-7 years. Is this a good way to go about learning as much as I can before jumping in full time?

i was an agent first , what you will learn in 1-2 years will be more than worth anything you would try to learn in a class or seminar ! i have done maybe 10-12 flips , but i think you will find in the long run , buy and hold is how you will create real wealth .
