Check Credit Score for Free

Another question for my mom ...

What reliable resources/websites allow you to check your credit score for free?

(P.S. If you're looking for a credit card to build credit, I highly recommend Discover. They share my FICO credit score with me every month at no cost and with no negative impact on my credit score. They also have decent cashback rewards and real human beings actually answer the phone 24/7 within their customer service department!)

@Valerie King the free annual credit report won't show you the actual score, however we have seen a lot of people using creditkarma.com.  I haven't used it personally but that may be an option.
