Finding Deals in Arkansas

Hi im considering Wholesaling to help me with my down payment on a Multifamily and I would like to do both in the future. Right now im researching it by reading book, podcasts, reading forums on BP, and going to meetings here in LR, Arkansas. I havent been able to branch out to other meetings close to me yet but they are on my to do list. What I would like to know is What works in arkansas? Like does anyone use craiglist? Do you drive for dollars? Do you do yellow letters? How do i learn about our market to know which is best? I check the MLS often just to see whats out there and I dont see much on the MLS which means i need to do something else. Also how did you start out and how tough was it for you?

@Kenisha Chapple First be grateful that you are looking for property in Arkansas and not LA, Dallas, NYC or other hot markets that will require bushels of money to get started. Second, find a deal that you think has potential. You may not be completely comfortable with every detail but it should look like an overall winner. Third, make and get an offer accepted. Finally, bring the deal to some one you have met at one of the meetings and that you feel comfortable with. Offer to split the deal with that person. Right now you seem to be bewildered by the whole business. Doing the above will focus your thoughts and subsequent actions. It may not get you your first deal but it will get your started.
