Finally moved to Houston!

Hello good people!

So this is not my first post on the site but since I have finally moved to Houston (from Norway), I am ready to take things to the next level! I have been studying real estate here on BP for 1.5 years and am eager to get my hands dirty by actually doing something within RE in real life. I am interested in doing "buy and holds" and some flipping. I kind of know where in Houston I want to invest in, Cypress area and Spring Branch area (I am renting close to Cypress area right now, to see how the area is in real life). I haven't really decided yet, but am considering taking my RE license this fall. So to get me started, I would appreciate if people could recommend:

- Any good REIAs to attend

- Good institutions to get the RE license

Also, if you have any other tips related to RE or just want to hang out and talk about RE, I'd love to meet up with you!

Super excited to finally be in Houston and actually start doing what I want to do :)

Thank you in advance for any replies!

/Naeem

Hi @Naeem Kapasi

Maybe you've already looked into this and are asking for answers from those who attend your local REIA's, but in case you haven't here is where you can find the REIA's in your area (click here) and here is where you can find meetups with BP members (click here). Hope that helps.
