Should I Start Investing in College

I am 19 and going in to college to pursue a Finance degree. I have been interested in REI for the past 3 years and have been gaining knowledge by working with my grandpa who is a REI, reading books, and listening to BP podcasts and reading the forums. I have saved up a good chunk of money for my age and want to continue saving. I want to get started in investing ASAP but I'm being patient. I live in Houston Tx and want to invest in that market. I know I have to build a team before I get started and have a good deal to invest in. I'm planning on investing in my first property my senior year of college or after I graduate so it would be around 2019-2020. In a hot market like this I feel like it is very difficult for a new investor to get started because of how high the houses are selling for. Do you guys think a new investor can get started in a market like this? And do you believe that the market might go down before 2019? Thanks for the help. And if you have any random tips feel free to comment. -Anthony
