Where to start in VA

Newby recently moved from the Lone Star to Northern Virginia. Want to network with experienced investors in the area. Been to a couple of networking events but still in the dark about where to start. Have the 9-5 but want to start investing in earnest. Don't have much in the way of $$ either. I am thinking it would be a good idea to start out by bird-dogging for wholesalers. Also have access to Fairfax County Court site. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

@E Roba I will be relocating to the area soon. Welcome to BP. I would suggest getting some cash together, raising credit score as high as possible, and investing time in acquiring knowledge before jumping into any purchase. Visualize where you want your real estate activities to be in 10 years, work backwards and write down all the actions it will take to get there. Then get to work on taking care of them 1 at a time. Consistent action, and patience will get you anywhere you want to be.

Good luck, hope to connect with you once I'm in the area.
