NYC, Dutchess County, My Introduction

Hello Bigger Pockets!

I have been studying hard the past few months. I have been silent on the forums, but listening to podcasts and reading most of the recommended books.

I live in Manhattan and I am interested in starting my real estate buy and hold business in the next few months. If I can find property with positive cash flow numbers in NYC that's a bonus, but I am looking north of the city 2 hours right now as well.

I am very excited and I think Bigger Pockets has been a great educational resource so far. My experience with real estate so far has been the process of buying and selling my first studio in a coop in Manhattan. Then using that money to buy and gut reno my second 2 bed room apartment in the same coop, which is my current primary residence.

I would like to ask the community if they have any recommendations on educational resources for buying foreclosures. Or any opinions from the community if starting with foreclosures seems like a bad idea.

thank you!
