Cold calling question

ok, I'm 19 year old girl, I've tried cold calling a little while back and it went terrible, I really need to work on my confidence with talking to fsbo but I know the only way to become confident is to just DO IT. I was ready to try again until another investor (beginner as well) said "maybe it's cause you sound young on the phone" I didn't think too much of it because there's lots of older women that sound VERY young... until I wanted to pick up the phone again so there went even more of my confidence

My question is does the tone and age sound of my voice really matter to the seller? My dad makes calls to and he's had better luck. What should I do?

(I know it's a silly question but it's an obstacle in having)

You can be young, but not sound young. If you just sound confident it will come across in the calls. What you should do is create some scripts and dialogue and practice them.

The other thing is, if you are not the type of person who can be good on the phone....dont worry about it. Find another avenue to pursue deals. I loath cold calling...and I loath door knocking. Other people are great at those things, and I stink at them. So I dont do them. Find out what your strengths are and play to those. At some point you should work on your weaknesses, but do not overlook the strengths you have whether that is email communication, in person communication etc.
