1st time rehab/joint venture

Hello Everyone, I am new to real estate investment. I am in the process of buying my first investment rehab property. The goal is to buy, rehab, than sell. I was approached with an opportunity to do a joint venture with a investor who is fairly new as well. My concern is I do not know a lot about the investor. I am hesitant to proceed with a joint venture on my first deal. Later on after I have a few deals completed I would be more open to joint ventures. Any suggestions or feedback are welcome. Best Regards Mark
