I am at Bank of America right now but I think I am going to switch to a credit union before I start building my credit. I was just wondering if there will be any problems with loans and me investing in real estate if I stick with the credit union?

Credit Unions will not be a problem for getting loans. That is what they do. I would keep your relationship with BOA also. Different banks offer different terms on different loans. It is good to maintain relationships with different banks, as long as they are not charging you fees to be there.
