Any investors start out by inheriting?

My grandparents are letting us inherit one of their properties to either live in or rent out. I'm leaning more to renting out because we're already working on paying off the mobile home we live in currently. I figured it would be a good first time experience of learning the ropes of being a landlord.

I did not start out by inheriting anything.  This good fortune could really accelerate your ability to invest in real estate.  By getting it rented you can accumulate more cash for investing in more properties later and get your feet wet by experiencing the process.  Congratulations and good luck.
