Jacksonville Florida
Hey BP,
A few months ago I posted about my upcoming move to Jacksonville, FL and now I'm here/settling in and I've got the itch to get involved in real estate. I've been educating myself as much as possible over the course of the past few years while I was in college and now I'm at the point where I'm ready to get started. This is an exciting time in a young, hopeful investor's life, so for those of you in the early stages of an investing career, I'd love to talk about anything and everything. For those who are more established and are infinitely wiser in the real estate world, I'd love the opportunity to talk with and learn from you as well. I relish the opportunity to establish relationships with new people, and if the relationship happens to be mutually beneficial in a business sense, even better, right?
My goal is to start in the residential multi-family realm of real estate and I'm hoping to eventually branch into the commercial multi-family realm. I just wanted to post and reach out to any like-minded individuals out there who are interested. Always excited to talk to new people. Maybe we can meet and have coffee someday. Have a great day everyone.

Hello and welcome @Chris Porter! I am a newbie also! I have lived in Jacksonville for 15 years now so I know this city pretty well. I have only done one real estate deal and it was my own residence. I bought the house right after the crash, renovated it and sold it for quite a nice return. I am a full time RN and a single mom and I am looking to get started in buy and hold multi-family and SFH to create passive cash flow in hopes to send my son to college and retire early. I'm also working on my real estate license to help achieve my goals. I scour the internet daily and drive around every chance I get. I really just need on the job experience but am stuck in that area. Would love to talk and build relationships to gain more experience. Like I said I know this area very well and it is definitely a tricky market as you can have a hot area and drive a street over and be in a bad area. Please let me know if I can help. Looking to join a REI group also!!
