Private Money Lenders in Orange County

My wife and I have spent the last few months studying real estate investing through reading and podcasts and have been looking into the possibility of seeking a private money lender in orange county. Our current income wouldn't necessarily qualify for a conventional mortgage in our current market and we have concluded that our best bet would be private money. We are interested in flipping houses and would like to know how other people in our area have gone about finding private money lenders in Orange County or gotten their start in this high priced market. What are private money lenders looking for when it comes to someone who hasn't established any credibility yet? We already have a great contractor lined up and are actively searching for good deals. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

Nick
