Is Anyone Renting An Apt & Own A Home As an Investment?
I'm renting right now (1400/mo) and I want to transition into buying my first property. However, to buy/live in a home in a safe nabe may run me about 150K or more. I rather invest in less expensive homes as a newbie, and have a few options in my area. Is it smart to rent a cheaper apt (900/mo) and buy/hold a SFH 50K and under? Or should I go for a higher priced home, live in and rent it out later? Any info appreciated, thanks!
