House flipping overseas

I'm planning on living abroad for the next two to three years and was interested in potentially house flipping while abroad. I will most likely be living in Thailand. I was wondering would it be better to house flip or invest in a vacation rental property while abroad?

I'm very new to real estate investing.

Thanks for your help!

@Hailey Sexton  Welcome to Biggerpockets! One of the great things about this site is that it brings investors from around the world together. I'd suggest you set up your keyword alerts for Vacation Rentals, geographical areas, etc. Also, if you haven't done so yet, you might want to read Beginners Guide to REI and listen to some of the Podcasts

There's a lot that goes into investing, both in time and money. You want to make sure that the niche you choose is something you have a good understanding of, therefore; learn all you can from the many sources available.

Once you are moved, you might want to see if there's a meetup in Thailand for BP members near you. You'd be surprised at how many there are around the world.

Good luck!
