Mentor

Hello All,

I have learned through hearing and seeing from others that having a mentor plays a very significant part in the success of many in all industry's including obviously Real Estate. Now, I do know that there are many that have achieved significant success and wealth without a mentor, though I'm sure even those individuals recommend finding and learning from a mentor. I recently came across a gentleman whom lives in my local area and is a licensed contractor who flips homes full time. He appears through the in person and over the phone conversations to be a great guy and offered after I inquired about what he does for a living to share and show me what and how he does his work.

I've had and have whom I consider mentors, but not in real estate. Being that I am new to real estate, I would like to know what are some key questions or characteristics I should look for in a potential mentor? I'm willing to offer up as much time and effort as I can to the right person whom is willing to mentor me; any advice or feedback from you all would turn out to be very valuable.

Thanks in advance!

Brian
