What type of professional should I speak to about when and how to use a llc?

I have four rentals and a family home. Wondering best way to protect them through llc, insurance, etc....

@Ian D, always consult an attorney for this information. I personally though just have umbrella insurance to protect my assets. I just dont think the extra costs or hassles with forming an LLC, or multiple LLC's is worth the hassle if you have say 10 units or less.

If you are doing things legally, your insurance should protect you, and if you are not doing things completely legal, well then having the LLC might not protect you anyways.
