So my plan is to get my relator's license when I turn 18 (I'm 17). I want to work as a Realtor and a construction laborer, save up some cash and eventually buy my own properties. I realize I have a lot to learn. Is there any books you guys can recommend? I appreciate all the help.

I agree with the podcasts, listen to them all. Check them out with the podcast app on a iphone or go to this page http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/category/podcast/

If you have interest in becoming a REA, can be good but not necessary if your main goal is REI.

Here are some books I have enjoyed a lot, not in any order although something like Rich Dad Poor Dad is a good starting point. A lot of what is the best to read depends on ones goals.

- Rich Dad Poor Dad (Financial mentality, motivational)

- Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller (good general book on REI with some how to)

- Millionaire Real Estate Agent by Gary Keller (I have not read this but based on how much I like Millionaire Investor I am sure this one is good)

- The Book on Flipping Houses written by J Scott and published by BP http://www.123flip.com/ (Great book with a lot of good how to info related to house flipping/rehabbing)

- Flip by Gary Keller's company (good book on flipping/rehabbing)

- Hold by Gary Keller's company (good book on buy and hold rentals)
