Conquering fear of unknown?

Hello All -

My name is a Nilesh Makhija, residing in Chantilly, VA (suburb of DC). Currently a a technology consultant, looking to generate positive cash-flow from real estate . I found biggerpockets online couple of weeks ago and since then I am totally addicted to it.

A short background about myself: I am an investor who is interested in buy and sell kind of investing and I believe I do understand the basics. But now the problem is when I start looking for a deal(from last 3 months) I do not feel confident and I always find some reason to back out(numbers do not make sense, neighborhood, high vacancy rates).

What I am looking for (if someone can help me) a mentor who can guide through the nuances of buy and sell real estate investing or any local meet-ups where I can meet fellow minded people.

My goal is to be confident when analyzing the deals and also generate a passive income.

Thanks!!

hello Nilesh Makhija

my name is levon williams and i live in the vegas area, i know how you feel about what you think is fear of the unknown. you have to believe that everything we do started as the unknown and yet somehow we made it to now.

what i do is look at my kids and grandkids how wonderful and fast they grow and how  they never stop trying and asking questions.  so proud when they come home from school after they learned something new. fast the next step is for them. I believe that this is the law that works for everyone I dont know what you would call this law i just know that it exisit.

Never stop growing and believing it is just around the corner.
