Do you own any properties yet? I would encourage doing a house hack first. Find a 2-4 unit. There is a few active FB groups that have meet ups

If you live in KC, look in the Event section here for meetups near you and use sites like Meetup dot com to look for real estate investor meetups. Based on your post and your questions, it sounds like you are at the very beginning of your journey so you have to ask yourself, why do you want invest in real estate? What capital do you have and what are your goals? Have you read any books or listened to podcasts to pair with the in-person meetups?

    Quote from @Alex Olson:

For KC you can come to the KC Multifamily Meetup Group. We have a meet up October 30th 3-6p.m. at Strang Hall in overland park. There is no agenda. Just networking.

As far as podcasts - it sounds like I am promoting my own here but since someone mentioned them here is a podcast called KC Multifamily Minute and is a weekly show that details all of the on market deals in KC.

     Thank you, Alex!
