Squatters on premises

Theresa Hansen
Posted

We are looking at a property with good numbers, however it currently has squatters on the premises. Our agent has experience dealing with/removing squatters and Georgia just updated their laws regarding squatters. Here's my question... Any ideas on getting a look see inside the currently occupied property?

We can see the outside with a drive by of course, but we are more concerned with the interior and what we may be getting into.

Thoughts, experience anyone?

Make your purchase contingent on removing the squatters first so you can inspect the property.

Unless the deal is half off the actual value, why would you buy into squatters? Do as Nathan says, offer them more than they want to deliver it without the squatters. Investors who sell properties like this have given up so you either go way lower and handle the squatters or a little higher and make them deliver. Chances are the first is what the sellers want since they are selling with them in there.

It is 50%. And that is exactly what I was thinking either way. More = no squatters, Less = squatters.
