Searching For Mentorship
Anybody know of a GOOD mentor that can help with my overall growth in becoming a real estate investor. I understand that I’m starting from the bottom, but my end goal is to be a successful developer and I plan on starting out wholesaling to build capital. Just want to shorten the learning curve and have structured education. (Doesn’t have to live in Nashville)

When someone says they want to learn, then states they "want to shorten the learning curve", I worry.

When we first started, we joined Ryan Dossey's community (CCF). It was just what we needed at the time and can definitely help shorten the learning curve!

@Kameren Powell shoot me a message! Happy to talk. Make sure you join your local REIN as well.

Many new investors think that wholesaling is a quick way to raise capital. For most it’s a colossal waste of time and energy. Good luck.

@Kameren Powell I’ll try to save you from financial loss. I’ve signed up for several “mentorship” programs all right around the $10K price. One closed shop 3 weeks into my program and removed all their online content. One I did have direct contact and several phone calls with the owner of the program but he was intent on steering me to create a syndication which was not the stated goals of the program or what I had stated was my intention when I was pre-screened for the program. I ended up quitting after they would not help me align with my goals. The third was a self storage program and because I know nothing about that market I learned a ton from it. I believe it was affiliated with AJ Osborne.
Please please be very careful at anyone you will be throwing more than about $200 at to learn from because most of these gurus are just frauds.
For the record I have done some small learning programs in the $50-200 range that have been very good. One of which was the WREIN program for $47. You don’t need the add ons they offer and even though it is directed at women I believe men can take it too. I learned some things in that one and had several good points reinforced.
@Kameren Powell I'm over in Knoxville and happy to help however I can. My buddy runs a free meetup in Nashville that covers a different topical discussion each month. I'd be happy to get you both connected as those are great places to get started and meeting people in the community.

I can tell you my story and it starts where you are today. DM me.

Hi Kameren, I live and work in Nashville and am happy to share any insight or connections I can to help you out. Let me know!

You’re on the right track! If you want to start big, you can reach out to local real estate groups or firms. However, you can connect with a lot of experienced developers in real estate forums like BP or through LinkedIn. I’d be happy to share about my experiences, so feel free to DM me anytime.
