Hi everyone, I’ve been listening to a bunch of BP podcasts and am very excited to learn more. I currently own 1 properties that im living in(single family home). I’m unsure of my next steps but would love to talk to other like minded individuals. I know I should go out and do meet ups, but I’m unsure of when and where they happen at.

Thank you in advance!

Go to BUILD YOUR TEAM at the top of your screen, and you can search for other MEMBERS or LOCAL MEETUPS. You can also check meetup.com or search Facebook for real estate investment groups, clubs, or meetings in your area.

It depends on your goals and investment strategy. Once you have those, you'll want to seek out people that have experience with those investment strategies.

As for real estate meetups, here is a list of those in Chicago.

    Hello Tony!

Agreed with @Nathan Gesner and @Paul De Luca

I'd also set up keywords alerts here on BP so that you can be notified when an area or topic of interest is mentioned on the forums.

This will familiarize you with some frequently asked questions and shorten your learning curve.

    All the best!

    Abel

Hey @Tony Pham - I am a little late to the party, but wanted to make sure I still welcomed you to BiggerPockets and the Chicago real estate community.

If you are interested, we have an in-person event coming up this Saturday where we are diving in to AirBnB / Short-term rentals in Chicago.  Here is a link if you can make it:  https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/521/topics/1204745-is-c...

I've personally found that in-person events are the best place to meet people and have helped me figure out my next steps.
