Bigger Pockets self guided boot camps
Good morning. First time poster here…I just found the bp site this week after diving into quite a few of the podcasts recently.
I am brand new to this area and am in the learning and evaluating phase right now.. I am not a pro member yet but I see the benefits and likely will be soon. I have a few of the self guided boot camps I am interested in. Since all the pricing includes a 1 year membership,I was hoping someone might be able to tell me what the cost would be for self guided camps for pro members.
thanks in advance
It cost $130.89 per self guided bootcamp. I often sit down with new investors to strategize. My first question is what type of Real Estate Investor do you want to be? Here are a few REI Avatars that we commonly see. Which one are you? From there, I can help you get started if you need help. Mahalo! Joel
Thank you, Joe, this is very helpful. I’m on learning mode right now, but I may be looking for a mentor soon. I’ll keep your note handy. I appreciate your info and advice.
@Michael Dyer there is so much content from the podcasts and forums for FREE. Sorry, but I would not pay for membership extras when there is so much already there without having to pay for it. If you just listen to the 1000+ podcasts of the 'real estate', 'money' and 'rookie' you would have a good base of knowledge.
Thank you, @Rick Pozos. I appreciate your feedback. I am diving in head first into the podcasts, and need to spend some more time in the forums. My main motivation for the membership was probably for the tools, but I think that will come as I get closer to being ready to really start researching my first deal. Thanks again for the tip, I appreciate it.
These podcasts have something to sell you and you're biting the bait.
These forums will educate you quite aggressively, and if you sit down and go through them you'll get expansive knowledge for free. It's a "self-guided" bootcamp in itself.
Thanks @V.G Jason, appreciate the tip
Hey Michael, I'd agree with Rick. There are a lot of free options out there. Don't get me wrong, all the content that BP puts out if great and definitely go for it. But I wouldn't say it's 100% nessary.
The tools provider within BP are great resources to utilize. I co-own a short-term property management company. We created our own calculator to analyze deals. Feel free to shoot me an email and I can forward it over to you.
If you live in the DSM area, there is an investor meet-up every Friday morning at Smoky Row downtown and 1 monthly investor meet-up on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Great way to connect with other like-minded people!
Hope that helps!

I work for BiggerPockets so of course biased but I think the Pro membership is more than worth it. You get landlord forms, unlimited calculators, free tools from some of our partners just to name a few of the benefits AND you support a great business that wants to create a space for investors of all types to connect and grow their real estate. I also love education that I can get for free or paid so why not mix it up. Join a bootcamp, listen to the podcasts, read/add to the forums, read our books and go to local events. Win-win :)
