Tax lien investing

Hello everyone,

I am new to the real estate market. I started off, wanting to get into RV parks however, I got sidetracked and now I am interested in tax lien and tax deed certificates. I am not sure where to start. I have seen quite a few gurus online  and I’m stuck in analysis paralysis. I don’t want to rush it but I do want to get started. Any suggestions? Have you had experience working with tax liens or tax deeds?  It does not have to be in Washington state . Thank you for your help.

Watchout for the "Gurus" that are trying to sell you what you can get for free.

There is huge amount of free info on Tax liens here on BP.

The 16% solution is a good book that will give you a primer.

You'll need a chunk of cash or access to a chunk of cash to buy liens at auction. You can sometimes find a money partner to provide this cash if you don't have it.

Buying Tax liens has its risks and doing it correctly takes work and time to build up a portfolio of houses that you can live on, but I did it.
