Looking for insights on FL investment rental market for my 1st

Hi BP Family,

New to investment and trying LD investment from WA state. Having lived in Jacksonville, FL back in 2016, looking for some insights on the best place to invest in FL rental market. Planning for LTR investment with some cash flow and appreciation. I did some research and see that Sarasota, Jacksonville, Kissimmee, Tampa, St. Augustine to be some good markets to start. I may be wrong and looking for suggestions.

Also, open to other state markets.

Thanks in advance.

Venkata

@Venkata Lukalapu, a lot of my clients are still doing deals in the more affordable areas in FL. I think that would account for the areas that you have listed. The one thing that I would like to draw your attention to is the rising cost of insurance. This is the primary thorn in our borrower's sides. Reach out to a local agent who can quote you a landlord policy. That way you are using accurate numbers. Obie has been a great resource for quick accurate quotes on landlord policies.
