Starting out in Nashville, TN

Hey guys my name is Haley Day. I'm a nurse at Vanderbilt and my husband, Christian, is in the sales department with Orkin. We're in our late 20's! We are VERY new to this whole real estate thing. We just discovered Bigger Pockets and have recently started listening to podcasts, reading, researching, etc. We're very interested and excited to pursue real estate investing, but we just feel a little overwhelmed and don't really know where to start. Wanted to see if there was anyone in the Nashville, TN area that knew of any meet ups that we could join or even upcoming workshops?
