Getting started with real estate!

 I’m 24 years old I’m a truck driver in Illinois, I’ve been wanting to invest my money in real estate but don’t know where to start. I’ve been looking into wholesale but I’ve heard it’s harder in Illinois. I would appreciate any tips on where to start how to start. Thank you guys so much!  It isn't just harder, from what I hear it's illegal to wholesale in IL unless you have your license! I'm actually from Crystal Lake, IL and was born in Elgin, but moved to NC 27 years ago :P 

What are your goals? If you're not sure, how do you feel real estate can help you move forward and where did you first come across it?
