Want to start REI but planning to move in the next 6-12 months. Any advice?

Hello! My husband and I are new to real estate investing and want to start looking for our first investment property, however we will be moving. We are planning to sell our current home and move to a different city within the next 12 months (ideally by early 2024) for personal reasons. If we were to purchase an investment property in the next 6 months, how would that impact our ability to purchase a new primary residence in the new location?

Your best investment is your own housing.  Decide on your real estate Strategy.  Brrrrr, fix flip. Trailer hack. House hack duplex MFH.

Learn REI. Do at least 5 deal analysis for your method.

Recommend you look at the place your moving to versus where you are.

Do you have any special attributes? VA, fha, USDA, etc.

Understand capital gains.  2!out of 5 years.
Start building a team where you are going.  Open up a bank account there and start history with them.  Join an REngrouo there.   Start talking with a realtor there.
