Starting out as an international investor

Nadav Kehila

Hi everyone, happy to join the team :)

I am eager to start as a rental property investor in the US, while I don't live in the US nor have a green card.

Based on the above, I have some doubts on how can I practically do it:

1. Should I open an LLC and use it for the title?

2. Can I open an LLC and bank account from abroad?

3. Will cash out refinance work for LLC or only as a private person? is it conventional or commercial?

Happy to learn more from people who had the same experience so feel free to share from your experience!

Thanks !

Nadav,

Investing from outside the US is a great way to build up your US REI Portfolio. You have access to more than just one option like DSCR and Foreign National loans. DSCR atleast offers options to help increase cash flow like I/O Interest Only and longer terms like a 40 Year amortization. You can open an LLC which could help you file taxes and have a US return.

You can open and LLC and Bank Account from ooutside the US you will just need to follow a few requirements. I would use Legalzoom for the step by step guide and process.
