Detroit Michigan Investing - Out of State Investor

Emran Saleem
Posted

Hello,

I plan on investing on Detroit Michigan.

I would like to purchase properties and rent them out to section 8 tenants.

Any advice on getting started would be appreciated.

I own 12-doors in Detroit and live in California. I spent 2017-2022 on the ground in Detroit and have a fantastic network and team there.

The FIRE guys are great but my understanding is they do not focus on Detroit. They sell and invest in the "ring cities" or suburbs. I had that option available to me, obviously, but chose Detroit proper for a lot of reasons.

Happy to discuss the market there and see if I can be helpful.
