Property Investing in city apartment run by Hotel Chains ie Ibis

Hello,

I am new to the forum and a newbie investor. I come from Australia so I understand rules and laws will be different.

My partner and I are currently looking at investing in an apartment run by a hotel management chain (Ibis, Nova Stargate Hotel, Etc), however the properties hold long term leases.

Apart from the BodyCorp fees being higher than normal properties, we feel this is a good strategy to enter into the property market. These properties are relatively cheap, the city always holds low vacancy rates, and we want as a long term investment 30 + years (not to flip).

Does anyone have any experience with this type of investment? Any advice welcomed.

Thanks Shane (Australia)
