Hello Andrew thanks for you reply,

The property is currently valued at $150,000

All out going fees are $4000 P/A (inc body corp)

Gross yearly income is $14,040

Not sure about the capital works or maintenance yet seeing agent on Tuesday to go over the finer details.

Really I was curious to see if anyone had invested in such properties to see if there was anything I really need to watch out for.

Once again thanks for your help.

Hello,

I am new to the forum and a newbie investor. I come from Australia so I understand rules and laws will be different.

My partner and I are currently looking at investing in an apartment run by a hotel management chain (Ibis, Nova Stargate Hotel, Etc), however the properties hold long term leases.

Apart from the BodyCorp fees being higher than normal properties, we feel this is a good strategy to enter into the property market. These properties are relatively cheap, the city always holds low vacancy rates, and we want as a long term investment 30 + years (not to flip).

Does anyone have any experience with this type of investment? Any advice welcomed.

Thanks Shane (Australia)
