Real estate brokerages in tampa area or online brokerage for new agent?

Happy Sunday everyone,

I recently passed my pre-license exam and am studying to take my state exam. I was wondering, is it a good idea to find a local brokerage to activate my license and start my career? or is it better/worse to go with a web based platform like REALbrokerage in this age of internet?

The person who has helped me along the way with this new career works for an online brokerage and she loves it. But she has previous experience with the industry. Im a little apprehensive going the online route. what would training be like? how would I be able to connect with other agents to get insight on things?  i have read about several online brokerages and they seem great. But would a brick and mortar brokerage be a better start for a new agent with no experience? I  don't know what to think. any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
