How do you get started????

I am new to Bigger Pockets. I am very much interested in investing in real estate for a couple reasons. Generational wealth being a father of three.Leaving a string foundation for my children and additional streams of income to retire off of. Any advice for an ambitious neophyte?

You have come to the right place Gregory. Biggerpockets is not only full of a TON of free education, but right here on the forums is a big community of new and experienced investors who can help you as you get started.

My recommendation for your next steps, assuming you are brand new to this idea of investing in real estate:

1. Spend the next ~3 months here on the forums, reading the biggerpockets blog posts, listening to the biggerpockets podcasts, and reading a couple of real estate related books.

2. Pick a niche that you would like to pursue (wholesaling, house flipping, residential long term rentals, short term rentals, commercial, new development).

3. Pick a sub-market that you want to invest in (I always recommend close to home when you're first getting started).

4. Shift your focus to studying the niche and market that you've chosen, and building a team to support you in your journey (real estate agents, lenders, contractors, designers, title companies, etc).

5. Start making offers on deals.
